The third version of the model has a lighter upper and a better heel grip. The new upper combined with an updated external TPU heel cap makes the Endorphin Shift lighter than ever. The high midsole consists of shock-absorbing PWRRUN, which together with the top sole in PWRRUN+ provides an incredibly gentle and energy-returning shock absorption. The 4mm drop combined with the high, stiff, rounded midsole and the new Centerline technology creates an energy-maximized springboard for the forward driving force of the SPEEDROLL technology. The new Centerline technology centers the foot at insertion and steers it forward during the unwinding of the step. This propulsive force makes running feel easier and faster, as the hip ends up in a higher position and the body's posture in a more propulsive position. In this way, the runner gets to step development faster, and rolls through the running step with lower energy consumption and strain on the knees, feet, hamstrings and calves. The unique FORMFIT fit creates an optimal and individually enveloping fit around the entire foot. The top of the midsole is anatomically foot-shaped to cradle the foot and provide better support around the heel and arch. From above, the foot is hugged in a comfortable and stable way with the help of a malleable, seamless and well-ventilated mesh, which is combined with stabilizing 3D structure around the midfoot and an external TPU heel cap. The upper also consists of recycled material, to reduce our ecological footprint. The outer sole in durable XT900 rubber is optimized for low weight, fast speed and good grip.
